Home Automation at a Push of a Button

Did you know that Vimar push-button switches can be integrated into a home automation system? Imagine controlling customised lighting scenes, automated curtain operation, and even climate control functions — all tailored and pre-programmed to your preferences at the push of a button!

For home automation programmers and integrators, Vimar push buttons (also known as bell press switches) can be incorporated into DALI and DALI-2 lighting control systems, which provide an elegant designer interface for smart home automation.

The automation system comprises your selected bell press or push switch integrated with a DALI / DALI-2 Push Button Coupler, such as the Sunricher SR-DA2833PN-DA2. When combined with any of the Vimar Eikon Exé, Plana, Vintage, or Flat push-button light switches, the Sunricher module effectively transforms the designer wall switch into a programmable smart home control interface. The Vimar switch provides the physical user interface, while the Sunricher module concealed behind the switch converts buttons into DALI / DALI-2 commands.

The DALI / DALI 2 commands can be used to control lighting scenes, dimming and colour temperature functions, and other DALI-enabled smart home features. A single button can be programmed to activate a customised scene such as "Welcome Home", "Movie Night", or "Goodnight", allowing multiple lighting actions to occur simultaneously. When integrated into a broader home automation platform, these scenes can also trigger other functions, including curtain and climate controls. Once configured, operation is intuitive and seamless.
