When it comes to interior design, it’s the details that make a space truly memorable. Most of us spend time selecting furniture, finishes, colours and lighting — yet one often-overlooked design element still tends to default to basic plastic light switches selected from the limited range at a local DIY store.

A functional piece of art may seem like a paradox for something as small as a light switch, yet when adding finishes to a home designed for elegance and delight, the humble plastic white light switch might not cut it.

For homemakers, the details matter. Early in the design phase, we’ve often already considered the shape of our homes, colours, windows, doors, and floors —the things we will look at and touch every day.
